Feeding your baby
Our midwives are here to help you and your baby have the best possible start to feeding, whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed they will provide support and guidance.
Before giving birth you can begin by connecting with your baby in pregnancy. Chatting or singing to your baby helps bonding, as babies can hear your voice and will recognise these familiar sounds after birth.
Responding to your baby’s kicks and rubbing or massaging your bump are lovely ways to connect. Building a relationship with your unborn child can help with recognising your baby’s needs.
If you have complex issues with feeding your midwife will refer you to our experienced infant feeding team.
