Getting Here

Our car parks are in very high demand and it can be difficult to find a space. If you can travel to your appointment or visit the hospital by public transport, or arrange to be dropped off and collected later, it would help avoid congestion or any delay to your appointment.

Help with healthcare travel costs

If you are a patient who is on a low income or receives certain benefits, you (or your carer or escort) may be able to claim back the costs of travelling to and from your hospital appointments. You may also be eligible for help with the cost of other NHS services.

Detailed information about claiming for help with costs are shown in this NHS England information leaflet: HC12 - Quick guide to help with health costs

You can also find information on the NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS) website

If you have further questions, please contact the Royal Berkshire Hospital's Cashier's Office, via 0118 322 7054 or in person at Level 2, Royal Berkshire Hospital (behind reception desk).
