Friends and Family Test
Every patient visiting our hospital wards, emergency departments, maternity services, outpatients and day case departments is able to give feedback on the quality of the care they have received. The feedback also provides us with a better understanding of the needs of our patients and visitors and enables us to continually improve the care we give.
Within 48 hours of being discharged you will be asked to answer some questions about your experience of our service.
Patients will also have the opportunity to explain why they have given their answer. We may also contact you following your visit by text message with a link to the survey. You can opt out once you receive the SMS or choose to not answer at all.
If you have not completed a survey for your recent visit, you can complete the NHS Friends and Family Test online.
We also have the survey available in different formats such as Large Print and Easy Read, and also a simplified version of the survey. For a Braille copy, please contact the Patient Experience Team on 0118 322 8082.
