We are excited to be holding our next membership event, 'Artificial Intelligence' In Acute Stroke Care' - Webinar


The event will take place Thursday 13 November at 17.00,  with guest presenter Dr Kiruba Nagaratnam.

Dr Kiruba Nagaratnam is a Consultant Stroke Physician and Geriatrician. He is the clinical lead for stroke medicine at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and for the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West, Integrated Stroke Delivery Network. Kiruba led the successful implementation of AI imaging software into the stroke pathway at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, and was instrumental in scaling up the AI technology across the hospitals in the Thames Valley region, which became the first AI-enabled stroke network in the UK. He has also worked with Health Innovation Network Oxford and Thames Valley to undertake the largest real-world evaluation of stroke AI technology in the UK.

In the UK, one person suffers a stroke every five minutes. Early identification of stroke and faster access to treatment are paramount for better patient outcome. Dr Nagaratnam will share his experience of implementing Brainomix 360 AI decision aid tool in to the acute stroke pathway both at hospital and at network level. He will also present the findings of the largest stroke AI evaluation in the UK, which included more than 70,000 patients. ​

Virtual Hospital Service Webinar I Monday 16 June 2025

An exciting membership webinar event was held on Monday 16 June 2025 featuring a presentation from the Virtual Hospital Services discussing the Power of the Virtual Hospital in Redefining Healthcare.    

 

The Virtual Hospital Service supports preventable hospital admissions and helps to reduce lengths of stay by providing high-quality care for patients in the comfort of their own homes through face-to-face visits or remote monitoring. The service treats a wide range of conditions with a range of specialised virtual wards.

As a Foundation Trust, we have a membership community made up of a public constituency of local people, a staff constituency for all permanent members of staff and a constituency for our volunteers.

You can become a member if you live within one of the constituencies listed below and have an interest in local healthcare. If you work for us, you are automatically a member unless you opt out.

As a member you will be the first to know about our services and plans for the future and can help to shape them. You have no obligations as a member, but there are many ways to get involved.

  • Take part in events for members
