Rapid Assessment Clinic for Older People

The Rapid Assessment Clinic for Older People (RACOP) offers multi-disciplinary specialist assessment to older people who need to be seen within 24-48 hours in order to prevent hospital admission. 

We support those who:

  • Need medical and/or multidisciplinary (physiotherapy, occupational therapy) assessment and/or treatment.
  • Have rapid onset of urinary incontinence and/or confusion.
  • Require other specialist assessment.
  • Require blood transfusion or management of acute hyper-calcaemia.

The clinic is based in Outpatients 2 which can be found on Level 2, South Block, Royal Berkshire Hospital. You can contact the clinic's answer machine via 0118 322 7494.
