Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust achieves Silver NJR Quality Data Provider status
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded a Silver National Joint Registry (NJR) Quality Data Provider status for 2024.
The ‘NJR Quality Data Provider’ scheme recognises the work the Trust has accomplished in achieving this status. It’s a measure of how they complied with the mandatory NJR data submission quality audit which supports the promotion of patient safety standards.
To gain Quality Data Provider (QDP) status, hospitals need to:
· meet best practice targets
· increase awareness of the importance of quality data collection
· embed the ethos that thorough and accurate data, improves patient outcomes
On receiving this award, Janet Lippett, Chief Medical Officer said: “At the Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust, our vision is to provide outstanding care for our community. We rely on good quality and timely data to make informed decisions about patient care, and ultimately improve patients’ outcomes. Inaccurate or missing data can compromise patient safety, so we’re delighted to be recognised for our culture of data collection and the systems we’ve embedded across the Trust”.
