By getting yourself vaccinated, you are not only protecting yourself, but also your loved ones around you.
If you are unsure on yours or your child's vaccination status, you can speak to your GP or you may also be able to view this on the NHS app.
Covid-19 vaccination - for those at increased risk of getting unwell from Covid-19
Flu vaccination - for those at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) - for those who are pregnant and adults aged 75 to 79

Stock-up on your medication cupboard
There are some basic household tasks which can make life easier if you become unwell over the winter months.
One of the things you can do is to check your medication supplies and ensure that those important medicines are stocked-up so you don't have to make unnecessary journeys when you are unwell.
It is also recommended that you have some food that can keep for sometime in your cupboards to save you a journey to the shops.
And don't forget to be plan ahead with your prescriptions as some pharmacies opening hours may change over the Christmas and New Year period.

A GP surgery is usually the first point of call if you have a health problem as they can treat many conditions and give advice.
Anyone in England can register with a GP surgery. It is recommended that you register with a GP service that is close to where you are living.

Some people like elderly neighbours, friends or family members may need extra help over the winter period. There's lots of things you can do to help those people this winter:
- Regularly check-in with them seeing if they need any help or support
- Make sure they have enough food supplies incase they can't go out
- Ensure they are keeping warm
