Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapy support individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties, as well as their families and carers.
Communication and swallowing difficulties can arise due to neurological and progressive diseases, head and neck cancer, learning difficulties, and many other conditions.
The department also offers speech and language therapy services for children with a hearing loss, cleft lip and palate, voice disorders, and advice on managing auditory processing disorders. Sometimes these conditions may occur alongside other specific speech and language difficulties.
