Diabetes and Endocrinology
We offer a range of outpatient services for patients with diabetes or endocrinological (hormonal) disorders (e.g. thyroid disease, polycystic ovary syndrome and Type 1 diabetes.
Weight loss and bariatric surgery
Bariatric surgery, or weight loss surgery, refers to operations designed to reduce weight. These operations work by restricting the amount you are able to eat and/or reducing the amount of food you can absorb.
The term does not include procedures for surgical removal of body fat such as liposuction or abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).
The two most widely performed procedures are the Roux-En-Y gastic bypass and Sleeve gastrectomy. All operations are usually performed laparoscopically (by key hole surgery), which will help you to get up and around and back to normal as soon as possible after surgery.
