Kennet and Loddon Unit

Kennet and Loddon Wards is an 50-bedded general medical unit for inpatients, specialising in respiratory conditions, including infectious respiratory viruses. 

The unit also has a ‘Respiratory Support Unit (RSU), where we can care for patients who have enhanced respiratory needs. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to our patients, while supporting their relatives and visitors. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) consists of doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pharmacists and nurses’ 

The ward has single-sex bays, although due to clinical needs, at times they may be mixed. Separate washing and toilet facilities are available for each sex; and the ward also has four side rooms allocated on a clinical needs basis.
