Information for Parents
- One parent is welcome to stay overnight with your child: we will provide either a camp bed or recliner chair. Please keep all belongings in the bedside locker to keep the space as clear as possible. Curtains must remain open around bed-spaces. If you are in a cubicle, please put your bed/chair away by 9am.
- Breakfast is served between 7.45am and 8.30am. Other meals are provided for patients from the trolley at 12pm and 5pm. Please ask ward staff if you require food or drinks for your child at any other time.
- There is a kitchen for parents only located on Lion Ward. This has tea/coffee facilities and a drinking water tap. Please feel free to use the microwave and fridge - please label foods in the fridge with name of patient and date.
What should I bring?
- Baby feeds, nappies and other essentials.
- Snacks or drinks, especially if your child has a special diet.
- Any medication your child is taking.
